Holy Souvenirs
I always hear of these when I lived here but this is the first time I saw them.
Get it all in one package - holy Jerusalemite soil, water from River Jordan and olive oil from Bethlehem. Or better yet check out this item, which even includes a little jar of frankincense and an olive wood cross:

Oh dear. They're selling dirt??? And river water??? I want in on this scheme! This is even weirder than the people around here who still have canisters full of Mt. St. Helen ashes they thought they were going to make a killing on selling as souvenirs back in the eighties.
Yep. This is a sure investment though, as The Holy Land is holy for thousands of years, and the pilgrims are still coming. I don't see it changing any time in the near future. But even the Egyptian empire ceased to exist after thousands of years, so maybe one day Jerusalem will not be so important anymore. This will be the end of civilization as we know it, and all those merchants will have to use those goods to make their own gardens in the desert.
