Happy Passover to all SmellyBlog readers who are celebrating this ancient holiday. Israel today smells like burned Hametz (=Leavened bread), sponja (=washed tiled floors)and wild flowers. In a far greater enthusiasm than the pita breads are burned right now, and all are giving them up for the Biblical Crackers known as Matzohs - they will be used in the "mangals" (AKA Israeli Bar BQ) of the Mimuna (the day after passover is the Spring Celebration of the North African jews). Just wait and see...
